You can upload up to 5,000 records in one file through the Web-interface and store a total of 100,000 points on an ESRI server at any given time. You can add, edit, and delete your points through SOAP. There is no limit to the number of icons. POI Manager is available as a Web-interface and as a SOAP-interface. You provide the points as a set of latitude/longitude locations or street addresses along with some descriptive information about the points. The locations are stored in a table on an ESRI server and you can use these points for mapping or proximity requests.
If you upload street addresses to the ESRI system, ESRI geocodes the
addresses and inputs the results into the table. You receive an e-mail
report on the results of the geocoding process and are given an opportunity
to correct and manually upload individual locations through a Web
