If an ArcWeb Service encounters a problem while processing your request,
it returns a message designed to help you understand the issue. You are
not charged for this transaction. Partial messages are included in ArcWeb
Online as general information. Most often, the actual error message also
includes information about what was entered in a request and what was
expected, for example:
3004: Invalid units 'Km2'. ProximityOptions.units not (Miles, Km).
The messages are listed here in numerical order.
Note about 'invalid parameter' error
The following parameters have values that are case-sensitive.
Common: dataSource, token, projection, datumTransformation
Authentication: username, password
Place Finder: filterType and filterCounty
Account Info: group and service
Proximity: whereClause
If you send a value in the wrong case, an invalid parameter error is returned. Usually, the message includes the correct value spellings.
1000: Invalid data source name
1001: Data source is either null or 0-length string.
1002: Internal error occurred in the web service.
1003: Security token provided is either null or 0-length string.
1004: Invalid username, cannot generate a token.
1005: Invalid password, cannot generate a token.
1007: Invalid data source name or data source not configured correctly.
1008: Required input parameter is null
1009: Invalid token, cannot extract valid username.
1010: Invalid field names specified
1011: Requested map image size is too large to be created. MapImageOptions.mapImageSize.width maximum is 1000.
1012: Expiration out of range.
1013: Invalid Envelope.
1014: Unauthorized web service.
1015: Unauthorized data source.
1016: No more transactions available.
1017: Subscription has expired.
1018: Unauthorized IP address.
1019: Error decoding token.
1021: Token has expired.
1022: Invalid token. The authentication token's IP address must match the requesting computer's IP address.
1023: Internal database connection error. Please try again later.
1024: Invalid Point.
1025: Invalid Geometry. Geometry type is 2 and parts array does not contain at least 2 points.
1026: Invalid Geometry. Geometry type is 3 and parts array does not contain at least 3 points.
1027: Projection value is invalid or not supported.
1028: Datum Transformation value is invalid or not supported.
2000: Invalid routeType
2001: HwyPref out of range
2002: Invalid RouteStop
2004: Invalid route. Must contain at least 2 route stops.
2005: Invalid languageType.
2006: Invalid unitType
2009: Invalid route precision. Must be equal or greater than 0.
2010: The route geometry has too many points. Increase your RouteOption.precision value to generalize the route geometry.
2011: Could not calculate Route. At least one RouteStop more than one mile from routable street.
3000: Invalid map image format
3001: Color value out of range. Each number must be within 0-255.
3002: Transparency out of range.
3003: Point or PixelCoord not on map.
3004: Invalid units
3005: Invalid map image size.
3007: Invalid fill type.
3008: Invalid geometry type.
3009: Invalid MarkerDescription name
3010: Envelope out of range
3011: Thickness value is larger than the requested image size.
3014: No input options to create a best map. Must define at least one circle, line, polygon, or a marker.
3015: Invalid polygon. Must contain at least 3 points.
3016: Invalid line. Must contain at least 2 points.
3017: Invalid polygon. Geometry.type must be 3.
3018: Invalid line. Geometry.type must be 2.
3019: No Map Layers are defined.
